Microbiologist - 1st shift

Job Title : Microbiologist Division : L’Oreal Operations Location : North Little Rock, AR Reports To : Manager – Quality Lab Job Summary At L’Oréal Groupe, we are shaping the future of beauty through technology. The Microbiology Laboratory Technician ensures the microbiological compliance of our raw materials, finished products, and production environment in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices and L’Oréal procedures. This role involves performing compliance testing, contributing to investigations, and driving continuous improvement of laboratory practices. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology preferred or Bachelor's degree in Biology. Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a microbiological laboratory within an industry (pharmaceutical, cosmetic, agri-food). Languages: A good level of technical English, both written and spoken, is an asset. Key Job Accountabilities: Perform microbiological analyses (raw materials, finished products, utilities, environment) in compliance with good laboratory, hygiene, safety, and aseptic practices. Apply current analysis procedures within the quality system framework. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Guarantee the traceability of analyses and contribute to investigations. Actively participate in the continuous improvement of laboratory practices. Ensure the management of reagent, consumable, and laboratory equipment stocks. Manage orders with suppliers. Your Skills Microbiology: In-depth knowledge of microbiological techniques, especially Pasteur methods (enumeration and detection), Gram staining, and aseptic rules. Laboratory Management: Proven experience managing laboratory stocks, equipment, supplier relationships, and risk assessment related to safety, data traceability, and investigations. Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate precision, rigor, adaptability, critical thinking, and effective communication.
