Position Type: Contract (Temporary, Open-Ended)
Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour (based on experience)

About the Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee daily operations of a well-established 185-unit apartment community in Sunnyvale, California , within the San Jose metro area. This role is covering a leave and requires a confident, organized property management professional who can step in quickly and ensure smooth operations, resident satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can independently manage a high-volume community.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day operations of a 185-unit multifamily apartment community
• Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and provide excellent customer service
• Oversee leasing activities including tours, applications, screenings, move-ins, and renewals
• Coordinate maintenance requests, vendors, and timely completion of work orders
• Conduct regular property walks to ensure safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal
• Process rent payments, issue notices, and maintain accurate records
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies
• Prepare reports and communicate updates with leadership as required

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Property Manager or Assistant Property Manager
• Strong working knowledge of Fair Housing laws
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume apartment community
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage, or similar)
• Professional, dependable, and adaptable in a temporary leadership role
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
