Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities Responsible for executing the production plan and coordinating process, people, and performance to achieve production quality and uptime standards on the shift. Ensures shift is performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and procedures. Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment. Assist with enforcing food safety program and procedures, GMP policy, and personnel hygiene policies. Proper use, care, and documentation exists of equipment and materials issued to work area. Supports in the efforts of onboarding, training, and reviewing. Develops a consciousness for the need for teamwork to attain department objectives. Organizes work for smooth operations, which includes maintaining clean and orderly work areas. Ensures that established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are followed. Verifies that proper documentation is completed accurately, timely, and properly filed. Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities. Continuously looking for opportunities to improve the current processes. All other duties as assigned and needed to support operations. Requirements Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 2+ years in a leadership role preferred. Disciplined approach to safety, quality, delivery and costs. Ability to read and interpret documents such as GMP guidance, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be willing to learn and understand company information technology systems. Able to lift 30 pounds repeatedly, 50 pounds frequently, and 75+ pounds with assistance, on a daily basis. Ability to lift, twist, crawl, reach, grab, bend, stoop, climb, or perform similar activities as needed and stand for long periods. Work Conditions Must wear personnel protective equipment as needed. Subject to normal warehouse and production environment. Subject to high noise levels where hearing protection is required. Subject to atmospheric conditions, such as fumes from the machines, odors, powders, dust, and other particles. Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
