Banquet Server

A Banquet Server is responsible for overseeing all aspects of events and banquets, including planning, organizing, and executing events. They work closely with clients to ensure that their needs are met and that events run smoothly. Responsibilities: Work closely with clients to ensure that their needs are met and that events run smoothly Ensure that staff provide excellent customer service Oversee all aspects of events, including food and beverage service, decorations, and entertainment Ensure that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices Anticipate, acknowledge, and respond promptly to guest's needs Maintain positive attitude and positive guest relations at all times Adhere to grooming and appearance standards Learn and maintain complete knowledge of all departmental and company policies, service procedures, and standards Clear tables and clean banquet rooms after events Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas Requirements: Proven experience as a banquet lead or in a similar role Excellent organizational and planning skills Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service and interpersonalcommunication skills Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)and ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to handle emergency and stressful situations like resolving customer conflicts Ability to make quick decisions Ability to create a positive and welcoming customer experience Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this role, with limited tolerance for unplanned absences or last-minute call-offs Employee Food discount Dental insurance available Paid time off Employee profit sharing (after 1 year continuous service) Complimentary hotel room on your birthday(after 1 year continuous service) About us: We are a family-owned independent restaurant and hotel located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
