Lynchburg Daily Bread Kitchen Assistant: Reports to: Kitchen Manager. Schedule: 6:30am - 12:30pm, Tues/Weds - opportunity for more days based on performance. Pay starts at $13-14/hour, depending on experience.

Job Duties: Complete various food preparation and clean‑up tasks including: Prepare pans of meat for cooking. Make salad, chop produce/fruit. Monitor the time and temperature of cooking food. Open cans to prepare large portions of veggies, etc. Wash dishes. Assist Kitchen Manager and drivers in bringing up food for the day - must be able to lift 30 pounds throughout the shift. Assist in the supervision of community service workers.
