Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center - Burbank is seeking an RN for the Operating Room (OR). The shift is from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM, with five shifts per week for a total of 40 scheduled hours. The job order starts on 07/27/2026 and ends on 10/26/2026, making it a 13-week contract. The call requirement is around 4-6 times in a 6-week period, with weekend call as part of the 4-6. The call times are from 2300-0700am on weekdays and from 0700-1900 or 1900-0700 on weekends. The traveler must commit to working three of the five holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

The hospital is an acute care facility with 392 staffed beds. Free parking is available. The required certifications include ACLS and BLS. The candidate should have skills in lobe resection, lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, closed reduction of fractures, laminectomy/discectomy, open reduction of fractures, ortho/spine, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, laparoscopic assisted cases, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate, fire safety, cell saver, administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure, and wound management.

The patient age groups served include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, with a daily census of 20-40. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary. The hospital does not handle trauma and transplant cases.
