What You'll Do as a Shipping Clerk:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy, condition, and proper documentation
• Verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using UPS, FedEx, or similar systems
• Ensure correct labeling, packaging, and shipping compliance standards are met
• Enter and track inventory transactions using SAP or similar systems
• Identify and report damaged or nonconforming materials and assist with resolution
• Coordinate movement of materials throughout the facility
• Support inventory control, including cycle counts and organization
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety procedures
• You will cross train with the Receiving Clerk

What You'll Do as a Receiving Clerk:

• Unload incoming shipments safely and verify product condition upon arrival
• Compare packing slips and purchase orders to ensure accurate deliveries
• Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly
• Enter and update inventory data using SAP or similar systems
• Organize and store received materials in correct warehouse locations
• Coordinate with buyers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve shipment issues
• Process returns, damaged goods, and vendor claims when needed
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, quantities, and inventory activity
• Keep receiving areas clean, organized, and audit-ready (5S standards)
• Assist with daily reports, inventory tracking, and general warehouse support
• You will cross train with the Shipping Clerk

Skills and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving and/or 3–5 years of quality assurance/quality control (a combination is strongly preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and shipping documents
• Strong hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, scales, etc.)
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems, along with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Solid basic math skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within the first 30 days
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality/regulatory requirements
• Experience supporting logistics, shipping and Receiving coordination, or dispatch operations
• Experience in receiving, and shipping warehouse, or logistics environments
• Strong attention to detail when verifying shipments and documentation
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Strong communication skills when working with vendors and internal teams
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility with schedule, including overtime when needed
