- Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases for application and embedded software
- Identify, document, and track software defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues using bug-tracking systems.
- Collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to understand product requirements and testing needs.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot software and system-level issues and assist with root-cause analysis.
- Recommend improvements to enhance software performance, reliability, and quality.
- Support test automation and continuous improvement of QA processes.
- Maintain clear and accurate test documentation and quality records.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance/testing, preferably involving application software and hardware systems.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as:
- TCP/IP
- UDP
- Serial
- UART
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as C, C++, or Python for test automation.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Experience with continuous integration/development tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Experience testing safety-critical software systems.
- Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices or automotive.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and medical software development practices.
- Knowledge of IEC 62304 or other medical device software lifecycle standards.
- Experience with embedded software, hardware/software integration, or system-level testing.
- Experience developing or maintaining automated software test frameworks.
