Accounting Manager

\nWe are partnering with a growing organization in the Chicagoland area looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys broad accounting responsibilities, process improvement, and taking ownership of their work.
\n \nQualifications:
\n- \n
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience \n
- Strong month-end close and general ledger experience \n
- Experience preparing financial statements \n
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred \n
- Strong Excel skills \n
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities \n
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred \n
Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close \n
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations \n
- Maintain general ledger activity \n
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting \n
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules \n
- Support AP/AR and other accounting functions as needed \n
- Assist with audit and tax preparation \n
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures \n
