Labor & Delivery Nurse

PM shift preferred; flexibility required for weekend shifts.

Assignment Details

Contract length: Seasonal; guaranteed hours may vary, with possible call-offs once per two-week pay period.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required.
• Travel experience is required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Current AWHONN Advanced OR C-EFM certification (hard stop).
• ACLS, BCLS/BLS, and NRP certifications required.
• Compact nursing license must be current at submission.
• Previous charge or precepting experience preferred.
• Experience in LTAC is required.
• Proficient in electronic fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation.
• Ability to manage high-risk antepartum care, postpartum hemorrhage, and VBAC/TOLAC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Monitor maternal and fetal health through electronic fetal monitoring.
• Assist with cesarean sections and manage recovery protocols for C-sections.
• Conduct assessments and provide care for neonates and infants.
• Handle postpartum complications such as hemorrhage and facilitate blood transfusions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Compliance / Notes

Must be willing to commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays. Parking details will be provided upon hire.
