Account Manager – HVAC Equipment & Supplies

Location: Hartford, CT
Compensation: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience, plus bonus and commission
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are recruiting an experienced Account Manager for our best clients in New England—a leading supplier of HVAC and plumbing equipment, parts, and supplies. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a customer-focused sales professional who understands the HVAC industry and enjoys building long-term relationships with contractors and commercial accounts.

The Account Manager will develop new business, manage existing customer relationships, recommend HVAC equipment and supply solutions, prepare quotes, and help customers successfully complete their projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC distribution, wholesale supply, mechanical contracting, outside sales, inside sales, or account management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of HVAC contractor and commercial accounts
• Develop new business throughout Hartford and the surrounding Connecticut market
• Build long-term relationships with contractors, technicians, purchasing professionals, and business owners
• Recommend HVAC equipment, parts, supplies, and related solutions based on customer needs
• Prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up on proposals
• Coordinate with internal sales, warehouse, purchasing, and customer-service teams
• Monitor customer activity and identify opportunities to increase sales
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, and follow-up records
• Stay current on HVAC products, equipment, industry trends, and market conditions
• Deliver responsive, professional service throughout the sales process

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in HVAC equipment, parts, supplies, distribution, or mechanical contracting is strongly preferred
• Account management, outside sales, inside sales, or business-development experience
• Knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems and products
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and customer-service skills
• Ability to prepare quotes, manage multiple accounts, and follow opportunities through completion
• Comfortable using CRM, quoting, ordering, and standard business software
• Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel locally as needed

Compensation:

The position pays $25–$35 per hour, depending on industry knowledge, sales experience, and qualifications. Additional earning potential is available through bonus and commission.
