Temporary Part-time Accountant

Client is seeking a temporary Part-time Accountant for a duration of six months. This position is for 25 hours per week and 100% telework. The effective date of hire is December 1, 2023 thru June 3, 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Verifies all fields on submitted invoices/adjustments to match information in contracts. Audits documentation attached to account requests to ensure completeness and accuracy. Verifies receiving report against billing invoices to ensure accuracy
• Maintains Fiscal inbox to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner
• Maintains invoice trackers for all contracts
• Intermediate critical thinking skills
• Basic judgment and decision making skills

Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school and experience equivalent to four years of full-time increasingly responsible clerical accounting or auditing work including, at least, one year of experience similar in nature to that performed by an Accounting with the state of Connecticut. Required Qualifications: Microsoft Excel Summary: Under general supervision, an employee in this class is responsible for sub-professional accounting work of considerable difficulty, and supervisory work of average difficulty; or assigned to complex accounting projects; and performs related work as required.
