Vice President, Credit Administration and Control (CAC) provides back‑office credit and security documentation checking for corporate and financial institutional customers, supports credit risk monitoring for the Bank’s credit and business units, and performs loan agency functions. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role oversees CAC operations, ensures compliance with internal policies and regulatory provisions, manages document custody, and leads continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• A) Bilateral Loans
  • Lead, coach and manage the CAC team in handling bilateral loans.
  • Issue facility letters and review non‑standard facility agreements and security documentation for complex deals drafted by external lawyers.
  • Ensure all terms comply with approved credit terms, Group policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Perfect executed documentation and maintain it in good order prior to implementation.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, obtain proper approvals before implementation.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of real estate, construction, project financing and trade products.
  • Safeguard legal and security documentation in the vault and update the collateral management system.
• B) Syndication Loans
  • Lead, coach and manage CAC team in performing loan agency functions.
  • Support borrowers and lenders with all administrative tasks.
  • Ensure documentation is perfected and aligns with approved credit terms.
  • Act as an agent, requiring accuracy and understanding of complex deal mechanics.
  • Communicate effectively with borrowers, lenders and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage risk to minimize commercial impact to the bank, borrowers, and lenders.
• C) Credit Risk Monitoring, Reporting and Operational Risk
  • Perform credit risk monitoring and escalation of exceptions for covenants, security documentation expiry, property revaluation, insurance renewal, and annual credit reviews.
  • Prepare monthly limit and exposure reports and other internal/regulatory loan reporting.
  • Assist Operations Manager with operational risk matters of the UOB New York Agency.
  • Conduct independent key risk and control self‑assessments.
  • Provide leave cover for the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, banking and finance, risk management or a related discipline.
2. Minimum of 10–15 years of solid experience in credit administration and/or loan agency functions within a wholesale or corporate banking environment.
3. Proven leadership capability with a strong track record in managing sizable teams, preferably supporting wholesale credit lending portfolios.
4. Highly meticulous with strong risk awareness, able to work independently, adapt to fast‑changing environments, and possess strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
5. Demonstrated strong quantitative, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, particularly in credit control, documentation and portfolio monitoring.
6. Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and perform effectively under demanding conditions and tight deadlines.
