The Mobile Catering Lead is the on-site captain of our private event operations. You’re part logistics manager, part service leader, and all about the guest experience. You’ll lead a small team of associates, execute high-quality catering service, and make sure every event runs smoothly, on time, and to brand standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

1. LMA - Lead Like a Pro
Own the success of each event from load-in to breakdown. Deliver exceptional guest experiences with precision and charm. Solve problems quickly and keep the energy positive and professional.
2. Coach and Guide the Team
Train new staff, delegate tasks clearly, and uphold service standards. Keep the vibe high and the workflow tight—even in chaotic environments. Lead by example in every moment—from prep to guest interaction.
3. Execute with Operational Excellence
Whether it’s plated, buffet, or family-style, make sure every step of service is dialed in. Keep food quality, cleanliness, and presentation top-notch—no matter the venue.
4. Be the bridge
Coordinate with the Director of Catering & Events and Kitchen Manager to ensure everything is packed, prepped, and ready. Communicate guest requests, on-site challenges, and real-time solutions.
5. Represent the Brand
You’re the face of Little Italy when we’re not in our building. Bring warmth, energy, and confidence to every guest interaction. Handle curveballs with grace and professionalism.
6. Own the Details
Follow checklists, manage pack-outs, stay organized, and track supplies. Be the person who remembers the ice, the serving tongs, and the little things that make a big difference.
7. Prioritize Safety and Cleanliness
Maintain health and safety standards during setup, service, and teardown. Ensure all staff are following hygiene protocols and that equipment is cleaned, stored, and maintained properly.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 1+ year in food service, catering, banquets, or event leadership preferred
• Strong communication skills and calm under pressure
• Clean driving record and valid license.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work long shifts on your feet
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Leadership, organization, and grace when things go off-script
• Experience with pack-outs, buffet setups, or plated service a plus.
