Sales Representative

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Representative to manage incoming sales leads, grow an assigned territory, and meet or exceed sales goals for textbooks and online learning solutions. This role combines inbound sales, account management, and outbound prospecting. The Sales Representative will respond to customer inquiries, qualify data-driven leads, maintain relationships with existing customers, and proactively identify new business opportunities through phone and email outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming sales leads generated through marketing campaigns and other company initiatives.
• Grow an assigned territory and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries received through phone and email.
• Research, qualify, and prioritize sales leads based on their potential.
• Proactively prospect for new customers through cold calling, email outreach, and research.
• Follow up with existing customers regarding reorders, new editions, additional products, and learning solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate textbooks and online learning solutions.
• Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the sales process.
• Troubleshoot customer issues and coordinate solutions to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate customer, lead, and sales activity information in the CRM.
• Develop a healthy pipeline of new and repeat business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, inside sales, or a similar customer-facing role.
• Experience managing both inbound leads and outbound prospecting.
• Strong phone, email, and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
• Comfortable proactively cold calling and emailing potential customers.
• Strong research, lead qualification, and follow-up skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated.
• Comfortable working independently and managing an assigned sales territory.
• Experience with CRM systems is preferred.
