Join Our Dynamic Team as a Med Surg Nurse!


- Location: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
- Shift: 18:45 - 07:15
- Unit: A 4 West Adult Med Surg
- Number of Beds: 34

Your Role:


- Collaborate with a skilled team consisting of:
- 1 Charge Nurse
- 5-7 RNs on Night Shift
- 2 CNAs on Night Shift
- 1 HUC on Night Shift
- Patient Ratios: Dayshift 1:4-6 / Nightshift 1:5-7
- Utilize your telemetry rhythm capabilities and critical thinking skills.
- Assess Med Surg level patients and notify Charge RN / Manager / Rapid Response / Provider as acuity levels change.
- Perform essential procedures, including:
- IV fluids
- Tube feeds
- PEG feedings
- IV antibiotics

What We're Looking For:


- Required Skills:
- Strong time management
- Good communication skills
- Team player mentality
- Must be punctual for all shifts

- Preferred Qualifications:
- ACLS Certification is a plus

Unit Guidelines:


- Attend daily huddles at 0650 AM or 1850 PM.
- Clock out and in for meal breaks.
- Adhere to schedule by clocking in no earlier than 0638 or 1838, based on your shift.
- Flexibility to float to other Med Surg units and occasionally assist in the holding pod.

Commitment:


- Work every other weekend with a total of 6 weekend shifts per pay period.
