Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Food Service Director to oversee the food service operations at our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of food service staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing high-quality dining experiences for our patients and residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Food Service Director Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of food service staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations

• Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our patients and residents

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as quality care standards

• Manage food inventory, ordering, and receiving to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless food service delivery

• Monitor and improve food quality, presentation, and overall dining experience

• Develop and maintain relationships with local food suppliers and vendors

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys

• Collaborate with the facility's leadership team to develop and implement operational strategies

Food Service Director Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Food Service Director or in a related management role

• CDM certification required

• Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred

• Strong leadership and management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in food service software and technology
