Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technician Supervisor

Description

Neel Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinary Nurse to join our Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) team. This leadership role is ideal for a skilled veterinary professional with strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Lead, mentor, and support the ECC veterinary nursing team.
Deliver high-quality nursing care for emergency and critical patients.
Place IV catheters, perform blood draws, monitor anesthesia, and administer treatments as directed.
Recognize common veterinary medications and assist with emergency procedures.
Communicate effectively with veterinarians, team members, and clients.
Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Previous veterinary medicine experience required.
Prior leadership or managerial experience required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and thrives in a fast-paced ECC setting.
Experience with IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and drug recognition preferred.
