seeking a CNC Vertical Operator to machine large-scale metallic components using heavy vertical mills. The role emphasizes precision, GD&T, and strict adherence to AS9100 quality standards.
You will read aerospace blueprints, set up machines, load parts over 500 lbs, and inspect finished work. This full-time, night/overnight shift job offers competitive pay and benefits.
Qualifications- 3–5 years of experience operating CNC machines in aerospace, defense, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
- Experience machining large-format vertical mills and heavy components >500 lbs.
- Ability to read aerospace blueprints and GD&T callouts.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work long shifts.
- Review shop orders and interpret drawings to set up machining work.
- Operate CNC vertical machining centers to mill, drill, face and bore components.
- Load and secure parts using overhead cranes and fixtures.
- Ensure adherence to AS9100 quality management system standards.
