Job Overview Position: Behavioral Health Program Manager – Mobile Crisis Management (Wilmington, NC) Department: Mobile Crisis Management Office Responsibilities Provide clinical and programmatic oversight and supervision to qualified professionals, team leaders, and licensed clinical professionals delivering behavioral health services regionally. Serve as first responder and provide on‑call consultation during consumer crises. Assist in the evaluation of high‑risk behaviors on an emergent and routine basis. Supervise clinical operations of a unit or region, ensuring high‑quality service delivery. Coordinate and monitor services and supports outlined in each person’s Person‑Centered Plan. Work closely with paraprofessionals and clinical staff to maintain communication, provide feedback, standardize procedures, and expedite PCP implementation. Provide clinical or administrative supervision to all employees. Assist the Regional Director in ensuring appropriate transitions to different levels of care and in providing leadership that promotes workplace harmony and reinforces company objectives. Monitor interventions and ensure they are performed face‑to‑face outside the facility, confirming each client receives the required number of contacts per service definition. Participate in financial maintenance, budget monitoring, and creation of corrective action plans to improve unit performance and meet targets. Resolve complaints and serve as a role model to employees, visitors, the public and clients. Qualifications Licensed professional in a human services field (e.g., social work, psychology, nursing, or other related fields) with an unencumbered license issued by a governing board. Excellent communication and listening skills with strong therapeutic abilities. Experience with behavioral interviewing techniques to uncover service needs and anticipate client requirements. Education and experience options: Bachelor’s Degree (non‑Human Service field) + 4+ years full‑time experience with the population served. Bachelor’s Degree (Human Service field) + 2+ years full‑time experience with the population served. Master’s Degree or higher + 1+ year full‑time experience with the population served. Proficiency in working as part of an interdisciplinary team and running open, productive therapy sessions. Ability to work independently and exhibit leadership in a dynamic setting. Credentialing may include provisional license, certificate or registration issued by a governing board.
