Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will engage in a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing patient recovery, including:

• Assisting in the development and implementation of personalized treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Providing hands-on therapeutic services that may include a range of exercises, therapeutic modalities, and manual therapy techniques.
• Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, making modifications to treatment plans based on observed patient responses and feedback.
• Educating patients on proper exercise techniques and rehabilitation strategies, enabling them to participate actively in their recovery process.
• Collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, attending units rounds to communicate patient status and care needs.
• Ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records, consistent with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, which includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, chronic joint and muscle conditions, and other musculoskeletal disorders. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from adolescents to seniors, each with unique needs and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is mandatory, along with an active Physical Therapist Assistant state license.
• You must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience specifically within the orthopedic domain, showcasing your expertise in handling a variety of patient cases.
• In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is required to inform best practices in patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is highly desirable to facilitate efficient patient documentation and communication.
• Previous hands-on training in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to educate patients effectively about care regimens and recovery strategies is also preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, you will benefit from:
