Product Owner (Agile / KYC Onboarding)

Product Owner
We are seeking a Product Owner with strong Agile delivery experience and foundational project management skills to support initiatives within Client Onboarding / KYC platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and compliance partners to drive delivery of onboarding solutions in a fast-paced financial services environment. This role requires someone who can balance product ownership responsibilities with light PM oversight, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Product Owner for assigned onboarding and KYC initiatives
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned to business goals
- Gather and translate business, compliance, and regulatory requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Partner with KYC, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver onboarding enhancements
- Participate in and support Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives)
- Provide day-to-day delivery oversight, tracking progress, risks, and dependencies
- Support UAT and release activities, ensuring delivered functionality meets business expectations
- Assist with stakeholder communication, status reporting, and issue resolution
- Help ensure solutions comply with KYC/AML regulatory standards and internal controls
Required Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Agile PM
- Hands-on experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
- Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs
- KYC / Client Onboarding experience within Financial Services (banking, capital markets, wealth management)
- Solid understanding of regulatory, compliance, and operational workflows
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in large enterprise / consulting environments
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AML, Client Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD)
- Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools
Ability to blend Product Ownership with light Project Management responsibilities
