- Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patient needs and establish individualized therapy strategies to help achieve their functional ambitions.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to boost patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and abilities in daily tasks.
- Partner with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work hand-in-hand with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to provide comprehensive and holistic care.
- Educate Patients and Families: Instruct patients and their support networks on therapeutic methods to maintain progress outside of clinical settings.
- Track and Adapt Progress: Monitor treatment outcomes and refine approaches as needed to ensure patients remain on their path to recovery.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Encouragement for continuing education and support for post-graduate credentials.
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- Current NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is a must.
- A genuine empathy for others and a commitment to promoting independence.
- Strong communication skills, characterized by clarity and compassion, with both patients and team members.
