Job Duties

• Safely operate heavy-capacity forklifts to move and position salvage vehicles
• Transport vehicles from one designated location to another
• Operate forklifts capable of handling 15,000+ lbs.
• Safely work with extended forks measuring more than 15 feet
• Maneuver large and potentially irregular loads with accuracy and control
• Perform basic pre-shift equipment inspections
• Follow all site safety procedures and operating guidelines
• Maintain awareness of surrounding employees, vehicles, and equipment
• Report equipment concerns or unsafe conditions promptly
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to load, unload, move, stack, and organize palletized materials.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and safe equipment operation.
• Ability to accurately identify inventory, shipping documentation, and storage locations.
• Strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
• Experience moving vehicles, oversized materials, or similarly heavy loads preferred
• Comfortable operating equipment with extended/oversized forks
• Strong understanding of forklift and workplace safety

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.

What You Will Do


As a Forklift Operator you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, stack, and organize materials throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will inspect equipment before use, replenish inventory locations, support shipping and receiving activities, verify product movement, maintain inventory accuracy, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling throughout the facility.
