Pharmacy Technician (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Morrisville, NC (NC147)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM, plus every 3rd weekend
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Assignment Dates: November 2, 2026 - April 30, 2027 (Potential for permanent hire)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join a fast-paced pharmacy team supporting long-term care (LTC) facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and completing prescription orders while maintaining high standards for productivity, quality, and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy professional seeking a contract assignment with potential for permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and selecting appropriate medications from inventory.
Apply labels to medication packaging and accurately scan, assemble, and organize orders for distribution.
Communicate inventory needs to ensure medications are available to fulfill all prescription orders.
Assist with inventory management, including removing expired or unused medications, marking opened bottles, and maintaining organized stock.
Meet established pharmacy accuracy and productivity standards consistently.
Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to maintain efficient workflow and timely order completion.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
Restock medications and pharmacy supplies as needed.
Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and company policies related to prescription medication dispensing.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Active and unrestricted North Carolina Pharmacy Technician License
Active PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or NHA (National Healthcareer Association) certification
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Preferred:
Previous pharmacy experience, preferably in a retail, mail-order, or long-term care setting
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB/NHA)
