Come join the Paradigm Healthcare family, where you will be celebrated and supported each day!Job DutiesBalance individual resident accounts and provide copies of statementsComplete monthly payment of resident private account changesPrepare and disburse monthly cash allowancesCreate and distribute monthly billing statementsAssist residents with the completion of medical assistance applications and verify eligibilityComplete representative payee forms on behalf of residents who are unable to do so on their ownCoordinate closure related to accounts of deceased residents (trust account, death certificate, life insurance claims, funeral expenses, final bills, etc.)Establish, develop, maintain, and update the filing system for the Business OfficeReviews weekly account receivables and payables with the Administrator or designeeFollow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and suppliesMaintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents and interact with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect, and promotes a caring environmentCommunicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisorsAnswer and respond to call lights promptly and courteously when working in resident care areasReports all resident concerns to the appropriate department headCommunicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, staff, and supervisorsAttend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directedReport all resident, staff, or other concerns to the appropriate department headReport all incidents, accidents, unsafe situations, and concerns immediatelyMaintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations relating to responsibilitiesEnsure that responsibilities are performed consistent with all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations as well as facility policies and proceduresRequired Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentOne year of experience in an accounting roleBachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferredTwo years of related experience preferredParadigm Healthcare was founded on the belief that by empowering each other, we can achieve more and provide better care to every patient we serve.
