This role offers an ongoing, temporary assignment with flexible hours, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance your experience in specimen collection and patient interaction while working with a supportive team.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of blood and urine specimensPerform venipuncture to collect blood specimens accurately and efficientlyObserve and collect urine specimens from patients, following procedures for observed or supervised collectionsProperly identify patients before specimen collection and label specimens correctlyDemonstrate excellent customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and staffCommunicate effectively with diverse patient populationsFollow departmental policies and safety guidelines, including Universal Precautions, OSHA standards, and HIPAA regulationsMaintain a clean and organized work environmentAssist with order processing and office supplies as neededRequired SkillsMinimum of 6 months of venipuncture experienceStrong customer service skills with a verifiable track record of providing excellent careReliable with a strong work ethic and professionalismStrong computer skills, including managing multiple programs, email, and report managementFast and accurate data entry capabilitiesEffective communication skills, with clarity, confidence, and credibilityAdditional Skills & RequirementsAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbsPhysical ability to perform frequent walking, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squattingPrevious experience with venipuncture and specimen collection preferredSchedule: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 11:00 amReliable transportation and punctuality are essentialIf you are a dependable phlebotomist with experience in specimen collection and a passion for patient care, this is an excellent opportunity to join a professional team in a clinical environment.
