Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapy licensure for the state of Virginia
• Previous experience working in school settings preferred
• Demonstrated expertise with autism spectrum disorders
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support teams
• Adaptability, patience, and creativity in developing individualized strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans
• Deliver direct therapy services to students with autism in individual and group settings
• Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to integrate therapeutic goals into students' daily routines
• Develop, maintain, and monitor progress on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
• Provide consultation and in-service training to staff on best practices related to sensory, motor, and adaptive skills
• Document services and progress accurately and efficiently to ensure compliance
