Production Supervisor - 2nd shift (1134082)

Location: Lebanon, IN Salary: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 USD Annually Summary: Growing manufacturer in the Lebanon, IN area is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift. This person will oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure shift targets are met safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with food safety regulations. The role provides direct leadership to line operators and production staff, managing shift schedules, troubleshooting operational bottlenecks, and maintaining a culture of safety and high quality. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience in a food processing environment, a strong understanding of regulatory compliance (FDA/USDA/SQF), and the leadership skills necessary to drive continuous improvement on the floor. This will be a 4‑day, 10‑hour shift position (Monday–Thursday, 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.). Responsibilities Coordinate daily shift activities, assign tasks, and monitor labor efficiency to hit production volume targets. Train, mentor, and evaluate production personnel on equipment operation, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Enforce strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP plans, and sanitation requirements. Partner with Quality Assurance to handle deviations, implement corrective actions (CAPA), and maintain audit‑ready conditions for SQF, BRC, or federal inspectors. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) like yield, throughput, and downtime to reduce waste and optimize manufacturing processes. Identify equipment issues and collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule repairs and minimize line downtime. Conduct routine safety audits, lead toolbox talks, and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with OSHA standards. Qualifications 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing environment. High school diploma or GED required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred. Active HACCP, SQF Practitioner, or PCQI certifications are a strong asset. Experience working with high‑speed packaging or processing equipment, alongside familiarity with inventory management software (ERP/MES). Strong communication and conflict‑resolution abilities. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly desirable. Ability to stand and walk on a concrete floor for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in temperature‑controlled manufacturing environments (wet, cold, or hot).
