Superintendent/Construction Manager - Life Sciences

Current job opportunities are posted here as they become available. We are looking for a Traveling Construction Superintendent to support construction management for GBA Builders. This superintendent will have the full support of the project manager while exercising autonomy in day-to-day operations. Successful candidate will be a team player who is self‑motivated and willing to jump in and assist where needed, adding value by offering thoughtful solutions and project efficiencies. Experience in the construction of Pharma / Biotech facilities is preferred. Also, interested in candidates with a background heavy in mechanical/piping. Responsibilities Provide coordination and supervision of Pharma / Biotech renovations and building additions with large amounts of process piping, clean utilities, mechanical upgrades, and automation Collaboration with clients, design teams and subcontractors for project success Build/maintain jobsite culture of “Safety First” Quality Control/Quality Assurance Daily coordination and management of subcontractors and jobsite logistics Collect, review and submit shop drawings, product data, test reports, etc. Build/update construction schedule and ‘look ahead’ schedules Review estimates with operations team to ensure logistical/site considerations are included Review project budgets with project management weekly /monthly Complete daily/weekly reports and maintain photo journal of progress Requirements Degree in construction management or experience in the trades A minimum of 7 years’ experience in construction management/supervision Good working knowledge of mechanical systems and process piping Partnership approach to working with contractors, designers and clients MS Office Suite knowledge and strong computer skills Proficient with scheduling software Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team Self‑motivation with good time management skills At GBA, we are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer promoting diversity in our workforce by including all individuals regardless of age, race, religion, color, sex, national origin, marital status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, veteran status, pregnancy status, or any other status protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr GBA
