Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients across a diverse population including children, adults, and seniors, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational evaluations.
• Formulate individualized treatment strategies that tackle immediate and lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions centered around language, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to create unified care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to ensure progress continues outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining continuity in patient care.
• Keep thorough and timely documentation in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
