Apply today to learn more!This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $5,000 for a 2-year work commitment!ResponsibilitiesAssist in filling medication orders and preparing oral/injectable medications, including hazardous drugs.Distribute medications, retrieve discontinued ones, and maintain service relationships.Handle procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution of investigational drugs.Communicate with hospital personnel, ensure safe storage of medications, maintain a clean work environment, use computer skills for patient records, and comply with regulations.Manage inventory, update automated stations, and assist in training.Maintain and audit controlled substance records, ensuring compliance.Perform other assigned duties and adhere to system-wide competencies.QualificationsCompletion of high school diploma or equivalent required AND one of the following:Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician programSix months of previous pharmacy technician experience requiredSix months experience as a Pharmacy Assistant within the UPMC Health SystemEnrollment in a college program and in good standingATTENTION: A COPY OF YOUR HIGHEST DEGREE LEVEL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED FOR CONSIDERATION.
