Registered Nurse (RN) Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit

Overview Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit-3 East (3East). The position is full‑time, night shift (7 p.m.–7 a.m.). A sign‑on bonus of up to $20,000 is available for qualified candidates, with an additional $7,500 offered to new graduates as part of Sentara’s 6‑month Nurse Residency Program. Responsibilities The RN will provide intermediate‑care nursing for patients with conditions such as sepsis, hemorrhage, stroke, cardiac, trauma, post‑operative surgery, substance withdrawal, and diabetic ketoacidosis. Duties include assessment, care planning, medication administration, interdisciplinary communication, and participation in the unit’s partnership council and Magnet redesignation efforts.
