Your Role in Women’s Health

As a Certified Nurse Midwife, you’ll provide comprehensive care while supporting patients through some of the most important moments of their lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care
• Perform routine and comprehensive women's health assessments
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage common women's health conditions
• Provide prenatal education and counseling
• Manage normal labor and delivery within scope of practice
• Provide postpartum and newborn care
• Perform routine gynecologic examinations and preventive health services
• Provide contraception counseling and family planning services
• Educate patients regarding reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and wellness
• Identify high-risk conditions and collaborate with physicians when additional intervention is required
• Work collaboratively with OB/GYN physicians, nurses, APPs, and other members of the care team
• Participate in call coverage and delivery services as required
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Promote evidence-based, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care
