Sterile Processing Tech

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the proper sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical instruments and supplies.

Shift Details

Schedule: 5x8 hours, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM (Monday to Friday)
Holiday rotation may be required
Weekend rotation may be required

Responsibilities

Perform sterilization and decontamination processes on surgical instruments and equipment.
Assemble, wrap, and prepare surgical instruments for use in various surgical procedures.
Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
Assist team members and may float to different areas to meet facility needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
Level 1 Trauma experience is required.
Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping.
Preferred experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases.
National certification such as CBSPD and/or HSPA is required.
BLS certification is not required.

Additional Information

Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities as needed.
Guaranteed hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.
Parking for nights and weekends is available with a one-time payment.
Please note that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.
