Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in California
- Experience in school-based OT; additional backgrounds in home health, healthcare settings, or teletherapy are valued
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to high schoolers’ unique needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and school staff
- Commitment to maintaining thorough and timely documentation of services
Responsibilities:
- Assess high school students to identify areas for growth in fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Develop and implement personalized interventions that align with students’ IEP goals
- Work closely with educators and families to promote inclusivity and support student achievement
- Provide ongoing progress reports and participate in IEP meetings
- Adapt techniques and materials to maximize student engagement and success
