The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:What You Will Do:Perform independent technical assessment of proposed part versus asserted commercial comparableDevelop side-by-side salient characteristic comparisons from drawings, specifications, and technical dataAnalyze and document form, fit, and function equivalence, including application and installation contextQuantify and characterize technical differences that drive price delta, feeding the analyst's price walkWrite the technical narrative substantiating or refuting the supplier's claimIdentify comparable parts and alternate commercial sources during market research supportPush back on unsupported assertions with defensible technical rationaleWhat You Will Bring:Mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering degree, or equivalent hands-on experience3+ years in component engineering, alternate sourcing, EPA/TDR development, should-cost, or value engineering in an aerospace hardware environmentFluent in engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data packagesExperience assessing part equivalence for source substitution or qualificationFamiliarity with aerospace product families across commercial and defense platformsClear technical writing for a compliance audience, not an engineering audiencePay Range: $95,000 - $115,000 per yearCompensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure.
