Direct Support Professional Position Overview and Responsibilities Provide assistance with activities of daily living—mobility, transfers, hygiene, dressing, and related areas. Provide functional skills training—assistance/instruction in cooking, shopping, cleaning. Offer cognitive skills training—memory training, reinforcing speech and language. Monitor client activities at the site. Maintain accurate charting/documentation. Direct Support Professional Qualifications High school diploma or GED, and a minimum age of 18 (as required by the State of Nevada). Read, write, hear, understand, and speak English to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals. Must be able to pass a background check as required by the state of Nevada. Previous health care experience a plus but not required – we provide training. A valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance a plus. We want you to join our team!
