Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Location: Zanesville, OH (Genesis Healthcare System)

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | 3x12s (36 hrs/week)

Start Dates: May 18, 2026 or June 15, 2026

Job Type: Contract (Quick Start)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week assignment at an inpatient psychiatric facility. The RN will primarily care for adult patients, with some adolescent population, and must be comfortable working in a charge role when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in an inpatient behavioral health setting
Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Manage crisis situations and support de-escalation
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary care teams
Perform charge nurse duties as required
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR

Requirements

Active Ohio RN License (Required)
BLS Certification (Required)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Prior Behavioral Health experience (Preferred)
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training (Preferred)
Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems
Willingness to work charge role

Schedule & Additional Requirements

3x12-hour night shifts (7P-7A)
Every other weekend required
Every other holiday required
Additional 24 hours of on-call over a 6-week period

Facility may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract
All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission
