Built on meritocracy, our unique company culture rewards self-starters and those who are committed to doing what is best for our customers.Brown & Brown is Seeking a Property & Casualty Insurance Placement Specialist to join our growing team.The Property & Casualty Insurance Placement Specialists primary responsibility is the marketing of new or renewal accounts through negotiation with underwriters to obtain optimal coverage and pricing for our commercial insurance clients.How You Will ContributeMarketing policies for each account generating over $5,000 in revenueData entry of information from the application onto the carrier portalDetermine the appropriate insurance markets to be approached for assigned accountsObtain and analyze quotations and declinations from various insurance companiesNegotiate pricing and coverage terms with underwriters and wholesalersIdentify coverage discrepancies/differences between carrier optionsPrepare high quality and accurate proposals for presentationsMonitor, identify, and develop new markets and new opportunitiesBuild and maintain carrier relationships by participating in carrier meetings and related activitiesOther duties may be assignedLicenses and Certifications: Maintain Property & Casualty Insurance LicenseSkills & Experience to Be Successful Bachelor's DegreeProficient with MS Office SuiteDemonstrates clear knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and standard industry offeringsSuperior negotiation skillsExcellent inter-personal and relationship building abilities3 years' experience in similar position (preferred)
