You will work across multiple business lines to deliver integrated solutions spanning water, energy, transit, communications, and collaborative delivery.This is a quota-carrying role with direct accountability for revenue growth, client relationships, and strategic market expansion.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive new business development and sales across hyperscale, colocation, and developer clientsOwn and deliver an annual sales target with strong pipeline development (3–5x coverage)Develop and execute account strategies, capture plans, and go-to-market approachesBuild and maintain relationships with executive-level stakeholders across multiple strategic clients.Lead complex pursuits, including positioning, teaming, and proposal strategyCollaborate across Black & Veatch to deliver integrated, enterprise solutionsMaintain strong client engagement through project execution to drive repeat businessPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree requiredRelevant experience in business development, sales, or key account managementProven sales success with public agencies and utilitiesDemonstrated ability to meet or exceed multi-million-dollar sales quotasExperience preparing proposals, interview/marketing materials, and negotiating contracts for public agencies and utility clients.Strong commercial acumen (contracts, pricing, risk)Excellent communication, executive presence, and relationship-building skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environmentPrefer 15+ years of experience within the public utilities industry, including 5-10 years in sales or project executionExperience developing, maintaining and executing strategic sales plans.History of successful pursuits with complex buying processes and multiple decision makersFirm understanding of competition and differentiatorsDemonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly, and to convert technical or complex information and concepts into easily understandable content.Experience using Salesforce is preferredMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Work Environment/Physical DemandsHybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.Salary PlanPMT: Project ManagementJob Grade021Black & Veatch endeavors to make accessible to any and all users.
