Experienced Brake Press Operator Needed in Plainfield, IN Earn up to $25.00 per hour working a full-time weekend schedule with a growing manufacturing facility in Plainfield, Indiana. This position is ideal for experienced brake press operators who can read blueprints, use measuring tools, and maintain quality standards in a production environment. Candidates must have previous brake press experience and be comfortable working 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate brake press equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and manufacturing instructions.
• Perform tooling changes and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers and precision measuring tools.
• Monitor product quality and make machine adjustments when necessary.
• Complete production documentation and follow all safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Previous brake press operating experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using calipers, gauges, and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for the full 12-hour shift.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the day.
• Frequently bend, reach, twist, and move around equipment.
• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Safely operate manufacturing machinery and production equipment.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing facility with moving machinery and production equipment.
• Fast-paced production environment with daily productivity and quality expectations.
• Moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection may be required.
• Required PPE includes safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear.
• Employees should be comfortable working around industrial equipment throughout the shift.

Schedule & Overtime

• Friday through Sunday
• 12-hour shifts
• Consistent weekend schedule
• Overtime may be required based on production demands and customer orders
