Job Description
Firm: Growing Private Equity Fund with >$5B AUM and 100+ employees
\nLocation: Midtown Manhattan, close to Grand Central and Penn Station — hybrid, 3 days in office
\nCompensation: 200-250k base and 250-350k total comp
\nLooking for: 8-20 years of fund accounting experience from a private equity, private credit or hedge fund. Fund administrator and Big 4 fund audit backgrounds also welcome. CPA a plus, not a must.
\n \nA growing PE fund in Midtown is looking for a Fund Controller to own the accounting and reporting for its funds. The platform is scaling, new funds are launching, and the role works directly with the CFO and the deal teams — real visibility and a seat at the table, not a back-office seat.
\nOwn the monthly and quarterly close for the funds — NAV, capital activity and investor allocations
\nRun capital calls and distributions; maintain the waterfall and carried interest calculations
\nReview and manage the third-party fund administrator — work product, deadlines, deliverables
\nPrepare quarterly and annual fund financial statements and lead the year-end audit process
\nOwn investor reporting, including capital statements and performance (IRR, TVPI, DPI)
\nSupport the valuation process for portfolio investments alongside the deal team
\nCoordinate tax reporting and K-1s with outside providers
\nAssist with Form PF and other regulatory filings
\nDrive process and systems improvements as new funds launch — Investran or eFront experience a plus
\nManage and develop junior fund accounting staff
\nWork special projects for the CFO as the platform grows
