Interim Senior Accountant Eden Prairie, MN / Hybrid, 2 days home, 3 days in office Hourly Pay Range: $65.00 – $75.00 Manufacturing / Industrial About the Opportunity – Interim Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager A leading global manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced senior accounting contractor to step into a senior-level role with minimal ramp-up. This is a high-impact, short-term engagement (2–3 months) supporting critical financial close, reporting, and compliance activities in a public company environment. This role is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments, operates independently, and collaborates effectively across complex organizations. The role offers a hybrid schedule with a mix of in‑office and remote work. Key Responsibilities – Interim Senior Accountant Support monthly and quarterly close processes including journal entries, accruals, and variance analyses Prepare and review account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies Analyze balance sheet accounts and maintain compliance with accounting policies Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements in a public company setting Partner cross‑functionally with finance, operations, and supply chain teams to understand manufacturing activity and performance drivers Support internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and auditor requests Assist with SOX compliance efforts, including documentation, testing, and evidence preparation Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls Contribute to special projects, technical accounting analyses, and ad hoc reporting needs Qualifications – Interim Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience, preferably Big 4 Experience supporting public company reporting and compliance requirements Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and close processes CPA designation strongly preferred Advanced Excel skills required Preferred: Manufacturing or industrial industry experience Inventory and cost accounting knowledge SAP or similar ERP system experience Experience with global or multi‑national organizations Exposure to SEC reporting and SOX compliance #J-18808-Ljbffr
