Global Development Senior Medical Director, Hematology Oncology

AstraZeneca seeks a Global Development Senior Medical Director for hematology-oncology to lead clinical development programs across early and late-stage trials. The role involves medical monitoring, protocol design, regulatory strategy, and cross-functional collaboration in a matrix environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical project team and design/implement early- and late-phase hematology-oncology trials
- Ensure safety monitoring, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance throughout studies
- Develop program strategy and clinical plans; provide expert input on study design and protocols
- Review clinical data, interpret results, and prepare regulatory submissions and clinical study reports
- Mentor junior clinical staff and manage day-to-day operations of assigned development projects
Requirements
- MD or equivalent medical degree with hematology-oncology clinical expertise
- Proven experience in global clinical development and regulatory submissions
- Strong knowledge of GCP, FDA/EMEA guidelines, and ICH standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
- Experience with protocol design and clinical study management
- Excellent scientific writing and communication skills
