Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for supporting credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients in partnership with a credit team. Key responsibilities include completing and reviewing credit analysis, evaluating risks, reviewing work by less experienced teammates, and writing financial analysis for approval or monitoring. Job expectations include leading the process, ensuring timely and accurate analysis, and coaching teammates on credit requirements.This role supports Commercial Real Estate credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring for new and existing clients in partnership with the Credit Officers, Relationship Management, and Risk. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing credit analyses, assessing risk, reviewing work completed by less experienced teammates, and drafting financial analyses for approval or ongoing monitoring. The role is expected to lead the underwriting process, deliver timely and accurate analyses, and coach teammates on credit requirements.Responsibilities:Leads the credit analysis process with the support of other analysts and associatesPartners with Credit Officers, Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirementsMonitors operating performance and financial condition, proactively identifying issues and opportunitiesAssists in delivery of financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making processReviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedureHas credit approval for certain credit actionsParticipates in loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partnersGathers, manages and reviews additional due diligence and third-party reports once deal is mandatedPrepares credit packages and circulates for approvalResponsible for Flood Process and regulatory data capture associated with deal closingsCompletes renewals, material modifications and extensions (non-preapproved)Completes Treasury-related requests, including card and ACH facilities for credit clients only Partners closely with the Credit Officer and Loan Administration team in loan closingsRequired Qualifications:5+ years commercial real estate credit related experienceFinancial analysis, underwriting and portfolio management experienceFinancial accounting, financial modeling and loan structuring experienceDesired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or similarCertificate from accredited real estate educational programLarge money center bank experienceCRE underwriting experienceCommercial Credit TrainingSkills:Attention to DetailCredit and Risk AssessmentFinancial AnalysisUnderwritingWritten CommunicationsAnalytical ThinkingCredit Documentation RequirementsFinancial Forecasting and ModelingRecording/Organizing InformationBusiness AcumenCollaborationCollateral ManagementLoan StructuringPrioritizationShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40Pay Transparency detailsUS - CA - Los Angeles - 333 S HOPE ST - BANK OF AMERICA PLAZA (CA9193), US - CA - Newport Beach - 520 Newport Center Dr - Newport Beach 520 Ncd (CA6814)Pay and benefits informationPay range$103,000.00 - $141,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.Discretionary incentive eligibleThis role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
