FamCare Center is in search of a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physician Assistant to join our surgical center team in Augusta, Georgia. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, with a focus on surgical procedures and cardiology. This position is situated onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Augusta, Georgia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health through comprehensive and problem-focused examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostics to accurately diagnose and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies while ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols, focusing on patient safety and cost-effectiveness.
• Create and implement individualized outcome-based treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, engaging with patients and their families to explain treatment options.
• Provide education and counseling to patients on managing health conditions, medication regimens, and lifestyle modifications to promote overall well-being.
• Record and maintain accurate patients’ health information, treatment plans, and outcomes, ensuring timely referrals when necessary.
• Perform specialized procedures and consultations within your scope of practice, serving as a vital resource in addressing complex patient needs.
• Adapt to the dynamic needs of the healthcare setting, potentially taking on additional responsibilities as patient coverage demands evolve.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and standard office software.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an outpatient surgical environment preferred.
• Familiarity with cardiology protocols and patient management strategies is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 140,000 and 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
