Senior IT Support Technician

Senior IT Support SpecialistWe are looking for an experienced Senior IT Support Specialist to oversee and support the technology that keeps our dealership operations running efficiently across multiple locations in the Wichita area. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, supporting end users, and improving IT systems in a fast-paced environment.As part of our IT team, you'll be responsible for maintaining end-user technology, supporting business-critical applications, assisting with infrastructure projects, and serving as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues. You'll also work closely with vendors and dealership leadership to implement technology solutions that improve efficiency and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support & Operations (60–70% of work time)Serve as the primary escalation point for advanced technical support requests.Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other IT equipment.Manage user accounts, system access, and workstation deployments.Support dealership applications, business software, and Microsoft 365 services.Troubleshoot network connectivity, hardware, software, and peripheral issues.Maintain IT inventory, asset documentation, and technical procedures.Coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware, software, and telecommunications issues.Infrastructure & Projects (20–30% of work time)Assist with server, network, and cloud environment administration.Deploy hardware and software upgrades, security patches, and new technology solutions.Participate in infrastructure improvements, system migrations, and dealership expansion projects.Support cybersecurity initiatives, backup systems, and disaster recovery planning.Recommend and implement process improvements that increase system performance and reliability.Professional Development (5–10% of work time)Stay current on emerging technologies and industry best practices.Participate in company-supported training and certification opportunities.Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to other members of the IT team.TravelTravel between Don Hattan dealership locations in the Wichita area as needed to provide onsite support and assist with projects.Qualifications5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related role.Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and enterprise hardware.Experience supporting business networks, user devices, and cloud-based applications.Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently while managing multiple priorities.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between dealership locations.Preferred QualificationsPrevious automotive dealership IT experience.Experience with Dealer Management Systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, Dealertrack, or similar).Experience with Microsoft Intune, VMware, Hyper-V, PowerShell, or endpoint management solutions.Industry certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, or VMware are a plus.Job TypeFull-time, PermanentBenefits401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceVision insuranceScheduleMonday through FridayDay shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)Occasional after-hours or weekend work for planned maintenance or emergency support, as needed.
