Life Safety Service Sales Executive, Electronic

Job Overview We are seeking a Life Safety Service Representative, Electronic (FIRE ALARM) to join our Johnson Controls team. This field sales role focuses on promoting and selling electronic fire service offerings across assigned territories and accounts. Responsibilities Manage the entire Fire Alarm sales process: uncover opportunities, develop solution/value proposition, prepare designs, create contracts, negotiate terms, close opportunities, and provide ongoing customer service. Collaborate with sales, technical, design engineering, service, support, and management to meet customer needs. Assume Account Representative / Account Management responsibilities, coordinating services such as installation and customer training to ensure complete satisfaction. Identify and qualify opportunities using strong sales, presentation, and closing techniques. Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to convey company product offerings. Conduct building surveys to support development of estimates. Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog supporting the designated sales plan. Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, make presentations, and perform necessary follow-up for successful closing. Investigate and resolve customer problems related to delivery dates, billing, financing and other matters. Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact to pursue additional sales. Perform periodic market investigations within assigned territory to develop new applications; provide sales forecasting. Maintain accurate records of all sales-related activities. Qualifications Highly self‑motivated and success‑driven with a strong focus on customers. High energy level, self‑discipline, excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational and detail orientation, ability to persuade and close sales. Ability to obtain appropriate licenses required by national, state and local codes. Strong knowledge of the fire alarm industry. Bachelor’s degree or 3 years equivalent Fire Alarm experience. Experience working with electrical contractors; ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams. Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, job costing systems, Microsoft and Oracle programs).
