Job Title: Medical Surgical / Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years recent experience required License: Active RN license in the state or compact license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Experience in Level I Trauma required Travel experience required Experience in a large hospital required Description: We are seeking a Medical Surgical / Tele Registered Nurse for a night shift position. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of recent experience. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:7, utilizing a team nursing model. First-time travelers will not be accepted unless they have 3 years of recent experience. Weekend coverage may be required on a rotation basis. Travelers must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered. The facility has strict compliance with licensure requirements. All time off requests must be submitted with the application. Applicants must be willing to work during holiday periods if they fall within the assignment. The unit supports adults and geriatrics with daily census ranging from 30-35 patients. The unit primarily cares for surgical oncology patients with some medical oncology overflow. Nurses will manage patients with central lines, perform wound care, and administer chemotherapy. Limited phlebotomy coverage will be available during night shifts. Candidates should have experience with charting systems, preferably Cerner. Please note that only qualified candidates will be considered for this position.
